what you need to know
Art. 1 - Registration
All participants, regardless of nationality, who are at least 18 years of age at the time of registration are eligible for the adventure.
Registration fees are non-refundable, cannot be transferred to another participant, and cannot be held over for another edition.
Physical incapacity and a suspended medical certificate do not constitute grounds for a refund of the registration fee.
The event will take place in all weather conditions. In the event of suspension due to weather warnings, alerts, or emergencies from entities outside the organization, registration fees will not be refunded. In the event of sporting events being suspended due to national or regional decrees, the Venetogravel event may be postponed.
Art. 2 - medical certificate
The medical certificate for cycling complies with Ministerial Decree 18/02/1982 and/or Ministerial Decree 26/04/2013 and is issued by a Sports Medical Center or a physician. It must be valid for 15 days after the event date.
You must send the certificate by email to certificato@venetogravel.it within 10 business days of the event date.
Please note: anyone without a valid medical certificate will not be able to participate.

Art. 3 – Departure, Routes and Arrival
The Veneto Gravel start will take place according to the provisions listed on the event page.
Please note: departures outside of the specified time are not permitted.
Your departure time will be recorded when you collect your starter kit, and you can depart from that time.
The routes are listed on the event page.
You are free to choose your route, and it is not necessary to indicate the type of route at the start.
The circular routes will start and end at the facility listed on the page.
The routes are indicative as they are subject to change due to construction sites, closures, or emergencies and may vary significantly. Approximately one week before departure, an email will be sent containing the final GPX tracks, which may have slight variations from the declared kilometers and elevation gain.
Participants must upload the provided track to their GPS device and follow it from start to finish.
At the arrival point, there will be a register where participants will record the day, arrival time, and route taken.
Lunch or dinner is available free of charge for all finishers according to the indicated times.
Reception and catering services at the arrival facility will be available until the date indicated on the event page.
Art. 3.1 – VG26 - X EDITION 17-22 APRIL 2026
The tenth edition of the Veneto Gravel will take place from April 17 to 22, 2026, with departure and arrival in Bassano del Grappa.
There will be four routes available, which can be viewed on the "2026 EDITION" page.
Registration and departures will be on April 17 and 18, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The deadline for arrival will be April 22, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.
Art. 4 – Characteristics of the event – warnings
Veneto Gravel is an ADVENTURE on paved roads, gravel roads, and trails. The entire route will always remain open to traffic, therefore it is MANDATORY for all participants to comply with the Highway Code.
The participant acknowledges that the route is not signposted, travels at their own risk and peril, and is considered to be on a personal free ride without any rights beyond those of other users of the roads and trails.
They are aware that no medical, food, or mechanical assistance will be provided by the organizers along the route; there will be no recovery service for those who withdraw, nor any obligation for the organizers to search for participants on the course.
The participant undertakes to notify the organizer of their withdrawal by sending an SMS or WhatsApp message to the phone number that will be provided to registered riders.
The participant understands that the organizing ASD Venetogravel is not a professional organizing entity, but acts solely for recreational and non-profit purposes (art. 1174 of the Civil Code). Therefore, participation in the Veneto Gravel cycling event is always a free choice, for recreational and non-profit purposes only.
Consequently, the aforementioned ASD is exempt and in any case released from any liability connected to the Veneto Gravel cycling event. It is also released from any responsibility regarding incidents that may occur to the cyclist, such as accidents, getting lost, physical problems, injuries, theft, etc. Therefore, the Veneto Gravel cycling event must be understood as a mere gathering and spontaneous, independent participation of cycle tourists and amateur cyclists on a personal and free ride.
The participant undertakes to respect and keep clean the areas crossed: meadows, woods, trails, and farmland. They agree not to litter along the route and to dispose of waste in the appropriate collection bins.
Participants are required to have good physical preparation, endurance for prolonged effort, solid GPS and navigation skills, and above all a spirit of adaptability.
Any form of external support is forbidden (except in case of emergency).
The route must be followed in its entirety and without shortcuts.
If one leaves the route, it must be rejoined at the exact point where it was left.
Art. 5 – Control
In addition to the checkpoints indicated on the Brevet card, there may be control points to verify that the participant has not made any cuts.
Art. 6 – Mandatory kit
For their personal safety, in case of emergency or loss of the route, each participant is required to carry the following minimum safety equipment for the duration of their adventure: a reflective vest for night riding, a whistle or bell, a cell phone, an approved helmet to be worn at all times, and a white front and red rear light.
Art. 7 – Venetogravel Patent
Veneto Gravel has no time limit. To earn a diploma, you must complete one of the courses by Wednesday, the event's closing date.
Art. 8 – Other provisions
By requesting to participate in Veneto Gravel, each participant:
• declares that they have read and approved these regulations and accept them in their entirety;
• declares that they are aware that the event is a non-competitive endurance challenge requiring significant physical and psychological commitment, without rankings;
• declares that they are aware that some sections may be rough and require good riding skills, and that, where necessary, the participant will decide at their own discretion to dismount and proceed on foot;
• declares that they have experience in GPS navigation on off-road and/or unmarked routes;
• declares that they have experience and are aware that the route is not signposted, not monitored, and that there are no safety stations and/or rescue personnel along the course;
• declares that they have experience and are aware of the possibility of encountering adverse weather conditions and are capable of navigating and cycling in hilly terrain under such conditions;
• declares that they are physically prepared to spend many hours continuously in the saddle, in complete self-sufficiency;
• declares that they will not resort to doping, drugs, or medications that could alter performance or cause harm or danger to themselves or others;
• declares that they are aware that along the route unexpected situations may occur, such as landslides, sun, wind, rain, hail, lightning, cold, night, darkness, fog, snow, ice, erosion, encounters with stray and/or wild animals, falls, accidental collisions with other participants or with passers-by and/or vehicles on public roads, and declares that they are adequately prepared to deal with emergency situations;
• guarantees their own responsible behavior during and after the event;
• declares that they are in possession of a medical certificate of fitness for cycling practice, in accordance with DM 18/02/1982 and/or DM 26/04/2013, issued by a Sports Medical Center or a physician;
• declares that they are in good physical condition, granting the organizers full release from any liability for damages suffered as a result of their participation in the event;
• gives consent to the use of their personal data, including for commercial purposes, in accordance with Privacy Law no. 196 of 30/06/2003.
Art. 9 – Processing of personal data and use of participants' images
Participation in the Event entails the processing of participants' personal data for the purposes and in the manner described in the Organizer's Privacy Policy. The data controller is the Organizer.
By registering for the Event, participants confirm that they have carefully read the Organizer's Privacy Policy.
Video and photography.
The Event will involve the production of video and photography for the purpose of documenting the event. The video and photography will be shared with all participants and may be published and made available on the Venetogravel website and social media platforms.
The participant acknowledges and accepts that, given the public nature of the Event, the purpose of the services for the dissemination and marketing of the Event's video and photographic footage, and the impossibility of selectively limiting the video and photographic footage, in order to register and participate in the Event it is necessary to authorize the filming and use of one's image in the manner and for the purposes indicated in these Regulations, as well as in the Release and Privacy Policy.
Art. 10 – Release for photographic and video recording of the event and use of participants' images
Having read and approved the Participation Rules and the Privacy Policy, and acknowledging that my registration and/or participation in the event constitutes a free and independent choice, by registering and/or participating in the Event in any capacity, I expressly authorize the Organizer, directly or through its service partners, to video and photograph my image during the Event and to use the footage for purposes related to documenting the Event by any means and through any channel or medium, digital (TV, internet, etc.) or analog (newspapers, posters, brochures, etc.).
This authorization is deemed granted pursuant to Article 10 of the Italian Civil Code and Articles 96 and 97 of Law No. 633/1941 (Copyright Law), free of charge, worldwide and without time limits, always subject to the limitation of protecting the decorum and dignity of my person, and with the right for the Organizer to authorize the sponsor companies and the technical and service partners of the Event to use the aforementioned footage for the same purposes as those covered by this authorization.
ART. 11 – EXCLUSIONS
It also reserves the right to exclude from the event any cyclists who behave inappropriately before, during, or after the event.
